Our Story

Queer America began in 2016 as two Denver-based friends making the queer shirts they wished existed. They focused on community, creativity, and joy. At the start of 2026, they were ready to wind down the project to make room for new chapters in their lives. 

Queer America, now based in Austin, relaunched just in time for Pride 2026. Queer joy, creativity, and community are still core to our identity… But we’ve updated a few things too. We’re also more focused on strength, representation, and resilience.
